About Us
"And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love."
1 Corinthians 13:13
1 Corinthians 13:13
Adam and Sheena began building The Establishment in 2012. The barns original design was for Sheena to enjoy her love of horses with an indoor arena and stalls for her favorite critters. However, when Adam proposed and they began the search for a venue, it just seemed like no other place was perfect for them to start their forever. Adam suggested being married at their own barn, and that began what would turn into a full fledged venue. So gathered with close to 300 of their friends and family they said their I do's in the hay field and celebrated their reception inside the barn.
"At the time I thought we would never be ready to have a wedding. Many people know that we ran into several hiccups along the way in construction, the barn actually fell twice thanks to some crazy summer storms, and we were working on a serious timeline since we had 300 people expecting to attend a wedding in the fall. We definitely had no idea anyone else would ever want to be married here, but someone who actually lived out the road from us saw our wedding and the way we had everything decorated from the road and asked if they could rent it for their wedding the following fall. The rest is pretty much history." - Sheena
"My first answer was no to other weddings. I was so nervous because we had no idea what we were doing. We could have never gotten our wedding together without our friends and families help so we really try to assist couples in planning. We know how stressful and overwhelming it can sometimes be, and we're very blessed to have met some great people along the way. God had blessed us in ways we could never imagine and we give all the glory to him." - Adam
Since The Establishment held their first wedding in 2013, they've hosted dozens of weddings and look forward to every year of weddings at their farm. They work hard to provide both bride and groom with guidance and help along the make the planning process as smooth as possible.
"Some people choose to have both ceremony and reception inside, and others begin outside and work their way in for the reception. We love that we are able to offer a location to accommodate the bride and groom and their family and friends indoors in the event the weather is not completely cooperative the day of the wedding. I've been in weddings elsewhere that the whole day is derailed because of a rain storm. It puts me much more at ease to know we have an indoors location to house everyone." -Sheena
"I look forward to the updates and changes we add every year. Sheena is always coming up with projects for me. I think the winter off gives her time to reflect on what she would like to add from the previous year so my spring is always filled with honey-do lists. She really enjoys making the best possible experience for couples, and apparently keeping me busy. Haha!" - Adam
